Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled access to the frontal sinus for irrigation, aspiration, and topical delivery during rhinologic procedures. Common uses include intraoperative frontal sinus irrigation during endoscopic frontal sinusotomy, delivery of topical antibiotics or steroid solutions, aspiration of mucopurulent material, and use with external trephination approaches when indicated. The instrument supports both diagnostic lavage and therapeutic clearance of the frontal recess.
Design & Configuration
The straight 15 cm shaft length allows reliable reach from external or endoscopic entry points to the frontal sinus recess while maintaining tactile control at the proximal end. The 3.0 mm distal lumen provides a low-profile channel adequate for saline irrigation and aspiration of viscous secretions without excessive tissue displacement. A smooth, low-profile distal tip and slim shaft reduce mucosal trauma and permit precise placement in narrow frontal recess anatomy.
