Clinical Application
Designed to serve as the handpiece for Sheehan-style nasal osteotomes used in rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty and nasal fracture reduction. The handle provides the clinician with a stable, ergonomic interface for delivering controlled mallet impacts to an attached osteotome blade during medial and lateral nasal bone osteotomies and other nasal bony contouring procedures.
Design & Configuration
The hexagonal (hexa.) cross-section offers improved tactile purchase and prevents unwanted rotation when struck with a mallet, permitting precise directional control of the osteotome blade. The 17 cm overall length balances reach within the nasal corridor with tactile feedback at the grip. The 12 mm profile corresponds to the handle/shaft interface size typical of Sheehan-style osteotome sets, facilitating a secure, low‑play connection between handle and blade for accurate bone cuts.
