Clinical Application
This instrument is intended for controlled elevation and mobilization of nasal septal mucoperichondrial and mucosal tissues. It is commonly used in septoplasty and rhinoplasty procedures to create and maintain submucosal planes, expose septal cartilage and bone, and facilitate conservative tissue dissection while minimizing mucosal tearing. The narrow working profile supports access within the confined intranasal cavity and assists surgeons in preparing the septum for contouring, graft placement or excision of small septal spurs.
Design & Configuration
The compact 5 mm working end and 15 cm overall length provide a balance of slim profile for intranasal access and sufficient shaft length for comfortable reach and control. The elevator geometry concentrates tactile feedback at the tip, allowing precise blunt dissection and elevation of delicate mucoperichondrial flaps while reducing transmitted bulk inside the nasal vestibule. A hand-held design supports one-handed manipulation and fine adjustments during submucosal work.
