Clinical Application
This non-cutting nasal snare is designed for controlled removal of pedunculated polyps and small intranasal lesions during diagnostic nasal endoscopy and operative ENT procedures. The wire loop permits encirclement and mechanical strangulation or avulsion of tissue under direct visualization, making it useful in clinic-based procedures as well as in the operating room when endoscopic access is used. It is optimized for procedures that require atraumatic grasping and resection without integrated electrosurgical cutting.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a long, slim shaft that provides reach into the nasal cavity and posterior choana while maintaining tactile control at the handle. The non-cutting loop design reduces the risk of thermal injury associated with electrocautery and allows the surgeon to adjust loop tension for controlled tissue removal. The loop deploys and retracts from the distal tip, enabling precise placement around pedicles and easy release if repositioning is required.
