Clinical Application
Provides controlled lateral retraction of the anterior nasal vestibule and cavity to facilitate direct visualization and access. Commonly used in ENT clinics and operating rooms for diagnostic nasal examination, removal of anterior foreign bodies, minor intranasal procedures, intranasal cautery, and portions of septoplasty or rhinologic procedures where anterior exposure is required.
Design & Configuration
The S/J configuration with a side-mounted locking screw allows gradual, controlled opening of the blades and secure maintenance of the chosen aperture. A 35 mm maximum opening delivers broad anterior exposure while the 13.0 cm overall length provides balanced reach and control for both clinic and OR use. The side screw mechanism enables the operator to set the retractor position without continuous manual force, improving stability during inspection or delicate instrument work.
