Clinical Application

Designed for controlled manual reduction and smoothing of nasal bone and cartilaginous irregularities, this rasp is used in open and closed rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and during management of nasal fractures. It is intended to refine dorsal humps, smooth osteotomy edges and remove small step-offs or irregularities after bone cuts. The manual rasp gives direct tactile feedback that helps the surgeon remove tissue incrementally for predictable contouring.

The 16 cm overall length provides reach into the nasal vault and along the nasal dorsum while maintaining fine manual control. The working end features an abrasive rasp surface that converts surgeon hand motions into controlled micro–debridement of bone and firm cartilage. The straight, slender shaft geometry facilitates alignment along the dorsum and lateral nasal wall for consistent strokes and precise sculpting. This configuration favors gradual, tactile shaping over aggressive removal.
