Clinical Application
This punch is intended for focused coring and controlled excision of small plugs of bone, cartilage or adherent soft tissue where a predictable, contained removal is required. The small 3.5 x 3.5 mm aperture makes it well suited for work in confined anatomy—such as delicate ENT, reconstructive, and other procedures requiring precise tissue removal, biopsy procurement or preparation of small defects for grafting.
Design & Configuration
The downwards coring (punch-down) geometry concentrates cutting force at the punch aperture to produce a clean, circular/square core with minimal collateral damage to surrounding tissue. The 14 cm shaft provides sufficient working length for access into narrow operative fields while maintaining tactile feedback and control at the distal tip. The compact aperture size supports accurate defect sizing and repeatable excisions during stepwise tissue removal.
