Clinical Application

Designed for targeted irrigation of the maxillary antrum and frontal recess, this wash cannula is used during endoscopic sinus surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic sinonasal procedures, and intraoperative or postoperative washouts. It facilitates clearance of blood, mucus, bone dust, and particulate debris to improve visualization and reduce the risk of retained material. The instrument is also useful for delivery of saline, antibiotic solutions, or topical agents directly into the antrum and frontal sinus recesses.

Design & Configuration

The 20 cm length provides sufficient reach for transnasal endoscopic access to the frontal recess and deep maxillary antrum while maintaining control at the handpiece. The slender shaft geometry allows passage alongside endoscopes or through surgical corridors with minimal obstruction to the surgeon's view. A fine, atraumatic distal irrigation aperture disperses fluid locally to flush cavities without concentrating pressure on mucosa, helping reduce tissue trauma during lavage.
