Clinical Application
Designed for anterior nasal cavity exposure, this two‑blade speculum facilitates direct visualization and access to the vestibule and anterior turbinates during office-based ENT exams and operative procedures. It is routinely used for inspection, removal of foreign bodies, mucosal biopsy, minor intranasal debridement, topical treatments and to assist placement of instruments or suction during awake or sedated procedures.
Design & Configuration
The hinged, two‑blade geometry provides symmetric lateral retraction of the nostril to maximize the visual field while minimizing localized pressure on the mucosa. The controlled spreading action permits fine adjustment of aperture to balance exposure against patient comfort. Smooth, contoured blade profiles reduce trauma to the vestibular lining and improve access for suction, forceps or endoscopic scopes commonly used alongside the speculum.
