Clinical Application
Designed for controlled biting and removal of lamina, small cortical bone fragments, ligamentous and fibrous tissue during decompression and exposure in spine surgery and related procedures. The down-curved bite is oriented to improve access to posterior elements and confined working corridors encountered in laminectomy, foraminotomy and select cranial or ENT bone work. The 4 x 10 mm bite provides a predictable tissue grab for incremental removal while minimizing the need for excessive force.
Design & Configuration
The down-curved jaw geometry enables an approach along the posterior surface of the lamina and around angled anatomy, allowing the surgeon to work beneath overhangs or in deep exposures with improved visibility of the cutting edge. A compact 4 x 10 mm bite balances bite capacity and control, supporting precise, staged bone nibbling rather than large gouges. The 18 cm overall length offers reach for deeper operative fields while maintaining hand control for delicate manipulation.
