Clinical Application

This angulated adenoid curette is designed to core and remove adenoid tissue from the nasopharynx during adenoidectomy and related pediatric or adult ENT procedures. The 21 mm curette tip and overall 22 cm length provide reach into the posterior nasopharynx and choanal recesses while allowing the surgeon to perform controlled scooping and curettage under direct visualization or endoscopic assistance.

Design & Configuration

The angulated 21 mm cutting face is shaped to access the superior and posterior midline nasopharynx without excessive instrument manipulation. The 22 cm shaft length balances reach with tactile control, enabling the operator to engage tissue at the Rosenmüller fossa and adenoid pad while maintaining ergonomic control at the handle. The Figure 5 pattern denotes the specific curvature profile familiar in ENT instrument sets, facilitating predictable orientation and efficient tissue removal.
