Clinical Application
This double-ended retractor provides targeted soft-tissue exposure for shallow to moderate depth incisions. The two blade widths allow the assistant or primary operator to select a lower-profile or broader retraction footprint without exchanging instruments, improving workflow during general, gynecologic, plastic, and other open procedures that require atraumatic elevation and maintenance of wound edges.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended geometry presents two flat, rectangular blades of different widths on a single shaft, enabling rapid adaptation to varying wound sizes and tissue thicknesses. The shorter blade dimension (51 mm) gives controlled depth engagement while the differing blade widths (32 mm and 38 mm) alter the contact area and pressure distribution—broader blades reduce focal pressure on tissue, narrower blades fit tighter exposures. As a handheld, non-locking retractor it is intended for dynamic retraction by the assistant or surgeon.
Instrument Specifications
- Pattern: Morris retractor, double-ended (D/E)
- Blade dimensions: 32 x 51 mm and 38 x 51 mm
- Blade type: Flat rectangular blades for soft-tissue elevation
- Use: Superficial-to-medium depth retraction in open surgical cases
- Construction: Reusable stainless steel
Material & Construction
Constructed from stainless steel for durability and repeated sterilization cycles. The single-piece, double-ended design reduces instrument count on the sterile field and is compatible with standard hospital cleaning and sterilization protocols.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
