Clinical Application

This hand-held Farabeuf is designed to provide low-profile retraction and exposure in shallow surgical sites. It is commonly used to hold skin, subcutaneous tissue, and superficial fascia apart during incision, dissection and closure. Its compact length and blunt twin prongs make it useful in procedures where a stable, atraumatic edge retraction is required—examples include minor general surgery, plastic and reconstructive procedures, oral/maxillofacial work, and vascular access dissections. The instrument is intended for use by the primary surgeon or an assistant to maintain clear visualization of the operative field and facilitate precise suturing and hemostasis.

Design & Configuration

The double-ended design provides two working tips on a single shaft, allowing immediate reversal or selection of the preferred orientation without changing instruments.
