Clinical Application
Small, hand-held retraction for shallow exposures where precise control and minimal bulk are required. Commonly used to retract wound edges and superficial soft tissue during general surgery, ENT, maxillofacial, plastic and vascular procedures. Its compact profile is suited for tight fields, intraoral work, and small-incision approaches where larger self-retaining retractors are impractical.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended geometry provides immediate versatility at the operating table: the D/E configuration allows the surgeon or assistant to switch blade orientation without changing instruments. Blunt, flat blades distribute retraction force over a wider area to reduce focal pressure on soft tissue and skin edges. The 12 cm overall length offers a balance between reach and control for superficial cavities and narrow operative corridors.
