Clinical Application

Designed for outpatient and ambulatory procedures to perform rubber-band ligation of internal haemorrhoids. The instrument is used through an anoscope or proctoscope to capture prolapsed haemorrhoidal tissue and apply an elastic ligature at the base, promoting ischemic necrosis and eventual sloughing. Suitable for coloproctology clinics, procedure rooms, and minor procedure suites where efficient, repeatable ligation is required.

Design & Configuration

The long, slender shaft (31.5 cm) provides adequate reach for anoscopic access while keeping the operator’s hands clear of the operative field. The incorporated loading mechanism ("w/loading") permits placement or retention of ligation material within the instrument prior to deployment, improving procedural workflow and reducing the need for separate applicators. The shaft diameter and distal ligating head are sized for passage through standard anoscopes and to present a controlled platform for band placement under direct visualization.
