Clinical Application
This rigid anoscope provides direct visualization and controlled access to the anal canal and distal rectum to approximately 50 mm depth. It is intended for office and operating-room anoscopy including assessment of hemorrhoids, fissures, mucosal lesions, postoperative inspection, targeted biopsies and minor instrumentation or hemostatic procedures. The 22 mm diameter balances patient comfort with adequate lumen for visualization and passage of small instruments.
Design & Configuration
The straight, tubular design with a smooth, tapered insertion profile minimizes mucosal trauma during insertion and withdrawal. A flared proximal rim offers a secure point for retraction and stabilization while allowing a clear working port. The 50 mm working length limits visualization to the distal rectum, making the instrument suitable for focused anorectal diagnostic and therapeutic tasks where shallow access and stable exposure are required.
