Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic probing and controlled exploration of lumens, sinus tracts, fistulae and tunneled passages in minor surgical, ENT, plastic and general surgical procedures. The rounded "button" tip reduces the risk of tissue snagging or inadvertent perforation while allowing clinicians to identify tract direction, locate endpoints, and gently dilate narrow passages to facilitate instrument or catheter passage.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended configuration provides procedural versatility and redundancy in a single instrument, permitting use of the buttoned tip at either access orientation without requiring instrument exchange. The 2 mm button profile gives a defined, blunt leading surface for controlled dilation and safe tactile feedback. A slim 16 cm shaft length offers reach to deeper tracts while preserving tactile control and maneuverability in confined operative fields.
