Clinical Application
This double-ended buttoned probe is designed for atraumatic exploration and localization of narrow lumens, sinus tracts, ducts and wound channels. The 1 mm buttoned tip minimizes tissue snagging and reduces the risk of inadvertent perforation when probing blind or semi-blind pathways. Clinically useful for intraoperative assessment, foreign body localization, probing fistulae, and introducing suture or guide material through a tract.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended configuration provides two working ends for bidirectional access without changing instruments, improving efficiency during procedures. A low-profile 1 mm buttoned tip presents a smooth, rounded surface that glides through tissue and lumen openings while preventing the tip from catching or penetrating delicate structures. The 12.5 cm overall length offers reach for deeper tracts while retaining tactile feedback to the operator.
