Clinical Application
Designed for otologic and general ENT use, this blunt ear hook provides controlled atraumatic engagement of soft tissue, debris, or small structures within the external auditory canal. It is used for retraction and exposure during diagnostic ear exams, routine aural procedures, removal of cerumen or small foreign bodies, and to assist visualization during microsuction or operative work under the microscope.
Design & Configuration
The blunt hooked tip reduces the risk of inadvertent perforation or mucosal injury while maintaining secure engagement of tissue or debris. The 14 cm overall length offers reach and control from the operating field without excessive bulk, and the Wagener Fig.5 hook profile provides a geometry optimized for engaging canal walls and recesses with minimal slippage. A slim shaft and balanced hand feel facilitate precise manipulation in confined spaces.
