Clinical Application
Designed for ENT examination and minor procedures, this Troeltsch-style ear catheter provides a controlled lumen for irrigation, gentle suctioning of secretions, removal of cerumen fragments, and targeted topical delivery into the external auditory canal. It is suited to use in clinics, outpatient ENT procedures, and surgery centers where precise, atraumatic access to the ear canal is required.
Design & Configuration
The curved, anatomically contoured geometry follows the natural curvature of the external auditory canal to minimize patient discomfort and reduce the need for forceful manipulation. The open-lumen tip facilitates steady fluid flow for irrigation or aspiration while allowing clinicians to visualize and direct the flow. The Fig.5 SP pattern denotes a specific curvature profile intended to reach deeper canal segments without damaging the canal wall.
