Clinical Application

Provides a controlled viewing and working channel into the external auditory canal to assist with diagnostic otoscopy and common aural procedures. The 7.0 mm opening balances canal visualization with space for microsuction tips, suction catheters, or fine instrumentation used during cerumen removal, foreign body extraction, and evaluation of the tympanic membrane.

Design & Configuration

The conical (funnel) geometry centers and stabilizes the visual axis while gently dilating the canal for improved illumination and access. A smooth, rounded rim reduces patient discomfort at the canal entry and facilitates atraumatic placement. The 7.0 mm internal diameter offers a larger working aperture than smaller specula, improving maneuverability of suction and micro-instruments during in-office procedures.
