Clinical Application
The Martin Antireflex ear speculum 7.5mm Fig.1 provides atraumatic access and direct visualization of the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane. It is intended for diagnostic otoscopy and for minor in-office otologic procedures performed under an otoscope or operating microscope, including microsuction, cerumen removal, foreign body extraction and delivery of topical agents.
Design & Configuration
The antireflex geometry reduces glare from illumination sources, improving contrast and visual clarity during examination and procedures. The tapered, conical profile facilitates gentle insertion and guides instruments into the canal while minimizing soft-tissue contact. The 7.5 mm tip diameter offers a practical working aperture for controlled visualization and instrument access in average adult external auditory canals.
