Clinical Application
This antireflex ear speculum is designed to provide atraumatic access and a clear line of sight into the external auditory canal during clinic and operative otology. The narrow 3.0 mm tip is intended for use when canal diameter is limited or when focused visualization is required for microsuction, cerumen removal, foreign body extraction, endoscopic assessment, and instrumentation under a microscope or operating room lighting.
Design & Configuration
The antireflex geometry reduces glare from overhead and coaxial light sources, improving contrast and visualization of the tympanic membrane and canal walls. The conical tubular shape centers the view while allowing passage of microinstruments through the speculum for procedures performed under magnification. A smooth, rounded rim minimizes mucosal trauma and patient discomfort during insertion and manipulation.
