Clinical Application
Designed for ENT and otologic procedures where controlled aspiration or instillation in the external auditory canal and middle ear is required. Common uses include removal of blood, irrigation fluid, cerumen and soft debris during tympanoplasty, myringotomy, mastoid surgery and routine clinic ear cleanings. The preformed curvature permits atraumatic access to the canal and middle ear recesses while maintaining a clear operative field.
Design & Configuration
The preformed curved geometry follows the natural arc of the external auditory canal to improve reach and visualization without excessive manipulation. A smooth, rounded tip reduces the risk of iatrogenic mucosal injury while the open lumen provides efficient suction and can be used for controlled delivery of irrigating or topical solutions. The rigid catheter form gives tactile feedback and precise control when navigating narrow ear anatomy.
