The sharp curette profile facilitates engagement of adherent plugs and fibrotic material while allowing precise scooping and withdrawal motions to minimize trauma to canal skin.
Use technique: visualize the canal, introduce the curette only as far as the canal permit, engage the material at its periphery and withdraw slowly. Avoid blind probing and do not use as a lever against the tympanic membrane.
