Clinical Application
Designed for use in operative vaginal delivery, this Wrigley-pattern obstetrical forceps provides controlled traction and guidance of the fetal head during the second stage of labor. It is intended for application by clinicians trained in forceps delivery for indications such as prolonged second stage, maternal exhaustion, or when a viable, low or outlet delivery is indicated and maternal and fetal conditions permit instrumental assistance.
Design & Configuration
The fenestrated blades are shaped to cradle the fetal head while minimizing scalp compression. The articulated lock provides secure alignment of the two blades and allows controlled, balanced traction and rotational adjustments when clinically required. At 23 cm overall length, the geometry supports maneuverability within the birth canal while maintaining sufficient span for effective application in typical obstetrical deliveries.
