Clinical Application
Designed for obstetric and gynecologic use, this forceps is intended to securely engage and extract placental tissue, decidua, and other retained products of conception. Its 28 cm length provides reach for manual removal procedures performed vaginally or during postpartum management, and it is commonly used in delivery suites, operating rooms, and procedure rooms for controlled extraction of tissue while minimizing slippage.
Design & Configuration
The straight shaft geometry offers direct axial access to the uterine cavity and vaginal canal, allowing the operator to apply controlled traction with a consistent line of pull. Ring handles give tactile control for delicate maneuvers, while the broad fenestrated jaw profile distributes grasping force across tissue to reduce focal compression and tearing. The Figure 1 jaw form is tailored to capture irregular placental tissue and fragments for reliable extraction.
