Clinical Application
Curved uterine polypus forceps are used to grasp and extract endometrial polyps, retained tissue, and small intracavitary specimens during gynecologic procedures. Common applications include office or operating-room polypectomy, dilation and curettage (D&C), and hysteroscopy-assisted retrieval where secure tissue purchase with controlled traction is required. The curved profile facilitates access to polyps located on the fundus or posterior uterine wall and helps align the jaws with tissue in the uterine cavity.
Design & Configuration
The curved shaft provides an angled approach that improves reach and visualization when working through the cervical canal. A 24 cm working length offers appropriate reach for transvaginal procedures while maintaining control and tactile feedback for the operator. The distal grasping jaws are configured to securely hold soft intrauterine tissue for removal and extraction, minimizing the need for repeated passes.
