Clinical Application
Broad, fenestrated placenta forceps designed to securely grasp and deliver placental tissue during vaginal and cesarean deliveries. The instrument is intended for controlled traction during manual removal of the placenta, management of retained products of conception, and for use when a wide jaw surface is required to reduce concentrated pressure on fragile tissue.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry provides improved access and visibility within the uterine cavity and birth canal compared with straight forceps, allowing the operator to approach tissue at an ergonomic angle. The Figure 4 pattern denotes the manufacturer’s specific jaw and shank contour that balances reach and control. Broad, fenestrated jaws distribute grasping force over a larger surface area to reduce slippage and minimize trauma to the placenta during extraction.
