Clinical Application

Designed to place and remove Raney hemostatic scalp clips for rapid control of scalp edge bleeding. Commonly used in craniotomy, craniofacial and neurosurgical cases where temporary atraumatic hemostasis of the scalp is required during exposure and closure. The combined apply/remove capability minimizes instrument exchanges and speeds management of diffuse oozing from the scalp and subcutaneous tissues.

Design & Configuration

The instrument is configured as a handheld forceps that both seats Raney clips on tissue and extracts them when no longer needed. A 16.5 cm working length provides reach and tactile control at the operative field while remaining compact for use in confined cranial exposures. The jaw geometry is arranged to accept standard Raney scalp clips securely for reliable placement and to permit controlled removal without additional tools.
