Clinical Application
Designed for controlled retraction of lumbar and cervical nerve roots during spinal decompression procedures, this instrument provides atraumatic separation of neural elements from disc material and bony structures. It is commonly used in microdiscectomy, hemilaminectomy and foraminal decompression to protect the nerve root while maintaining a clear working corridor for discectomy, fragment removal or foraminotomy.
Design & Configuration
The 90° right-angle geometry places a narrow, blunt blade immediately adjacent to the nerve root, allowing the surgeon to elevate or shield the neural structure while working on the disc or lamina. The 19 cm overall length extends reach into deeper lumbar exposures without excessive shaft bulk, providing improved access in microscope- or loupe-assisted cases. The narrow, atraumatic blade profile is intended to minimize tissue compression while affording tactile feedback and visual control in confined foraminal spaces.
Instrument Specifications

Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel with a profile optimized for spinal exposures. Surface finish and joint tolerances support routine sterilization and long-term reuse when processed according to facility protocols. The blade is designed to be atraumatic to neural tissue while retaining rigidity for controlled retraction.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
