Clinical Application
Designed for neurosurgical exposure and atraumatic retraction, this malleable double-ended brain spatula provides controlled separation of cortical and subcortical tissues during tumor resections, hematoma evacuation, aneurysm access, and other intracranial procedures. The broad spatula surface distributes pressure to minimize focal compression, supporting microsurgical visualization and instrument access in deep or narrow corridors.
Design & Configuration
The malleable shaft can be contoured intraoperatively to conform to the surgical corridor, allowing the surgeon to tailor the blade curvature for optimal tissue retraction without repeated instrument exchanges. The double-ended layout gives two working ends for alternating orientations or for use by assistants without re-grasping. The 14 mm working width combined with a 178 mm reach balances surface contact with sufficient length for deep cranial exposure.
Instrument Specifications
