Clinical Application
Designed for controlled, atraumatic retraction of spinal nerve roots and adjacent soft tissues during posterior spinal procedures such as microdiscectomy, foraminotomy and limited decompression. The narrow 10 mm blade footprint permits focused protection of the neural element while preserving visualization of the disc space and foraminal anatomy. The 24 cm overall length provides reach into deeper operative corridors encountered in lumbar and some thoracic approaches.
Design & Configuration
The narrow 10 mm blade reduces tissue contact area to minimize traction on the nerve root while providing a stable platform for sustained retraction. A 24 cm shaft supplies additional working length for deeper exposures without encroaching on the primary operative field. The handheld configuration gives the surgeon direct tactile control for fine adjustments during microsurgical maneuvers and is low-profile to accommodate use under loupe or microscope magnification.
