Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure, atraumatic occlusion and handling of bowel during intestinal procedures. The instrument is used to temporarily isolate segments of small or large intestine during resection, anastomosis and other intra-abdominal procedures where control of luminal contents and gentle tissue handling are required. Its atraumatic jaw geometry minimizes serosal trauma while maintaining reliable tissue control.
Design & Configuration
A ratcheted Kocher-style configuration delivers a controlled, lockable grip to hold intestinal tissue without the need for continuous manual pressure. The atraumatic jaw geometry distributes compressive force over a broader surface to reduce focal crushing of the serosa and mucosa. At 25 cm overall length the instrument provides expanded reach for deep intra-abdominal exposure while preserving tactile feedback for the surgeon.
