Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic handling of intestinal tissue, this Kocher intestinal forceps is used to grasp, retract and temporarily stabilize bowel and mesenteric tissue during abdominal and gastrointestinal procedures. The atraumatic jaw geometry reduces focal pressure on the serosa, helping to minimize tissue trauma when manipulating delicate bowel during enterotomy, resection, anastomosis or exposure.
Design & Configuration
The 22 cm length provides reach for both open abdominal fields and deeper pockets while maintaining tactile control. An atraumatic intestinal jaw geometry distributes compressive forces across a broader surface to reduce point pressure on the bowel. A locking mechanism provides a secure hold while allowing the assistant or surgeon to maintain exposure without continuous manual traction.
