Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic control of intestinal tissue, this instrument is used to grasp, stabilize and retract segments of small or large bowel during open abdominal procedures. Typical indications include bowel resection and mobilization, anastomosis preparation, enterotomy exposure, stoma formation and general intestinal handling where a secure but gentle hold is required to minimize serosal trauma.
Design & Configuration
The 24 cm length provides sufficient reach and working distance for abdominal exposure while keeping the surgeon’s hands clear of the field. Ring handles with a ratchet permit a sustained, locked hold without continuous manual pressure. Fenestrated, atraumatic jaws distribute contact pressure across the serosal surface to reduce focal compression and preserve tissue integrity during manipulation and suturing.
