Clinical Application

This rigid Recamier curette is intended for controlled scraping and removal of soft tissue during gynecologic procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial sampling, and evacuation of retained products of conception. The 14 mm spoon/cup tip permits efficient collection of tissue specimens for histopathology while allowing tactile feedback to the operator for precise scraping and debridement.

Design & Configuration

The instrument's rigid 31 cm shaft provides extended reach for access to the uterine cavity in a variety of patient anatomies or when additional working length is required. The 14 mm spoon/cup tip concentrates the scraping edge to deliver controlled removal of tissue with minimal peripheral trauma. The Fig. 6 tip geometry offers a standardized profile for predictable engagement and sampling during curettage maneuvers.
