Clinical Application
Vulsellum forceps are designed to provide secure purchase on cervical and uterine tissue for traction, manipulation and exposure during gynecologic procedures. Common applications include cervical traction for dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopy setup, vaginal procedures and other operating room or office-based gynecologic interventions where controlled tissue handling of the cervix or uterine fundus is required.
Design & Configuration
The curved shaft geometry improves access and line-of-sight in the vaginal canal and pelvis, allowing the operator to apply traction while maintaining ergonomic hand positioning. A 24 cm overall length offers extended reach for intra‑pelvic manipulation without excessive bulk outside the wound. The vulsellum-style toothed jaws provide a firm, non-slip grip on soft tissue to facilitate controlled traction and reduce the need for repeated repositioning.
