Clinical Application

This deep vaginal speculum provides extended reach for visualization and access to the cervix and upper vaginal fornices. It is intended for routine gynecologic examinations, cervical inspection, specimen collection (Pap, cultures), and use as a retractor for minor office or ambulatory procedures where deeper exposure is required (for example, patients with a high-riding cervix or deep vaginal vaults).

Design & Configuration

The deep, narrow geometry increases anterior–posterior reach while maintaining a controlled opening width, giving the examiner improved line-of-sight to the cervix and upper fornices. The bivalved design creates a stable working aperture and allows direct access for swabs, instruments, or visualization devices. Smooth blade contours reduce mucosal pinch and facilitate atraumatic insertion and removal.
