Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic exposure of the vaginal canal and fornices, this retractor is used to improve visualization and working space during procedures such as vaginal hysterectomy, repair of lacerations or prolapse, episiotomy repair, diagnostic or operative dilation and curettage, and other transvaginal interventions. The blade’s dimensions allow controlled retraction of soft tissue while minimizing crowding at the introitus.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a single, low‑profile blade sized to balance reach and access within the vaginal canal. The relatively narrow 22 mm blade width with a 115 mm length provides broad contact for even retraction distribution while maintaining a slim profile to reduce interference with instruments and visualization. A handheld configuration gives the assistant or surgeon direct tactile control for incremental retraction and intraoperative adjustment.
