Clinical Application
This instrument is designed for uterine curettage procedures where controlled scraping or scooping of endometrial tissue is required. Common applications include diagnostic and therapeutic dilation & curettage (D&C), endometrial sampling, removal of retained products of conception, and other intrauterine tissue removal tasks. The 6.0 mm tip diameter provides a balance between sufficient tissue sampling volume and tactile feedback for the operator.
Design & Configuration
The spoon/loop-style curette tip is configured to engage and remove endometrial tissue with a scraping motion. A 28 cm overall length provides extended reach for deeper uterine cavities or when additional working length is required through specula or cervical dilators. The rigid shaft transfers tactile feedback from the tip to the operator, assisting controlled tissue removal while reducing the need for repeated passes.
