Clinical Application

Designed for controlled mechanical cervical dilation, this Hegar pattern dilator is used to establish and maintain cervical canal patency during gynecologic procedures. Typical indications include dilation prior to dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopy entry, insertion or removal of intrauterine devices, and other uterine instrumentation where atraumatic, graduated dilation is required. The 26.5 mm diameter represents a larger-caliber dilator used when higher-grade dilation is clinically indicated.
