Clinical Application

Used to gently dilate the cervical canal to allow passage of diagnostic and operative instruments. The 2.0 mm profile is appropriate as an initial dilator in a graduated set or for fine, controlled dilation in office and operating-room gynecologic procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopy setup, and other intrauterine interventions where atraumatic entry is required. The rigid shaft provides reliable tactile feedback to the surgeon during progressive dilation.

The rounded tip and polished surface reduce snagging on mucosa and facilitate atraumatic passage.
