Clinical Application

Designed to provide controlled mechanical dilation of the cervical canal, this double-ended Hegar dilator is used to establish or enlarge cervical access for procedures such as dilation and curettage, hysteroscopy, IUD insertion, endometrial biopsy, and other minor gynecologic interventions. Design & Configuration

The double-ended straight rod geometry places two successive diameters on a single instrument shaft, reducing tray count and instrument changes during sequential dilation. The tapered, cylindrical ends provide a gradual transition that facilitates atraumatic entry and controlled stretching of the cervical os. A smooth, polished surface minimizes tissue drag and allows tactile feedback to the operator during advancement.
