Clinical Application
Used to achieve controlled cervical dilation during a range of gynecologic procedures. The pair of adjacent sizes is intended for stepwise enlargement of the cervical canal for procedures such as dilation and curettage, diagnostic or operative hysteroscopy, intrauterine device placement, and other office or OR cervical preparations. The tapered, rounded tips permit progressive dilatation while reducing localized trauma to the cervical epithelium.
Design & Configuration
The instrument is a rigid, double-ended dilator providing two successive diameters (21 mm and 22 mm) on a single shaft. The double-ended layout reduces instrument exchanges and allows the operator to progress between sizes quickly. The smooth, tapered cylindrical tips are designed to center within the cervical canal and provide consistent radial expansion; the solid construction delivers clear tactile feedback to the clinician during passage and dilation.
