Clinical Application
Designed to provide atraumatic exposure of the vaginal walls and direct visualization of the cervix during outpatient gynecologic exams and minor procedures. Common uses include cervical inspection, Pap smear collection, intrauterine device placement or removal, and other diagnostic or minor therapeutic procedures where controlled retraction of the vaginal walls is required.
Design & Configuration
The bivalved blade geometry separates the lateral vaginal walls to create a clear line of sight to the cervix and working space for instruments. The 115 mm overall length offers access to the mid-to-deep vaginal canal while the 45 mm blade width provides lateral retraction without excessive tissue compression, helping balance visualization and patient comfort. The Fig.3 sizing (115×45 mm) is commonly selected when deeper exposure or a wider working channel is required compared with smaller sizes.
