Clinical Application
This bivalve instrument is designed to separate the vaginal walls to provide direct visualization and access to the cervix and vaginal canal. It is used in routine gynecologic examinations, cervical screening procedures (Pap/HPV collection), IUD placement and removal, and minor office- or ambulatory-based procedures where controlled exposure and gentle tissue retraction are required. The 55x60 mm opening provides a moderate working aperture suited to many adult exam and procedural scenarios.
Design & Configuration
The bivalve geometry gives even, bilateral separation of vaginal tissue for an unobstructed view of the cervix. An adjustable opening mechanism permits incremental control of exposure, allowing the examiner to tailor visualization while minimizing patient discomfort. Smooth, rounded blade edges reduce the risk of mucosal trauma and facilitate atraumatic insertion and manipulation during short procedures.
