Clinical Application
Designed for intra-abdominal biliary work, this probe is used to explore the cystic duct, common bile duct and gallbladder neck during cholecystectomy and biliary surgery. It provides tactile feedback for localization of stones, assessment of duct patency, passage of guidewires or dilation instruments, and guidance during stone extraction or exploration procedures.
Design & Configuration
The elongated 28 cm shaft provides extended intra-abdominal reach while keeping the surgeon's hand clear of the operative field. The straight geometry delivers direct tactile transmission, enabling precise control when probing narrow ductal lumens. A blunt, rounded tip reduces the risk of mucosal trauma during exploration and facilitates atraumatic passage through the cystic and common bile ducts.
