Clinical Application

This dilator is intended for controlled, progressive dilation of the extrahepatic biliary system during hepatobiliary procedures. It is commonly used to enlarge a choledochotomy, to dilate benign strictures of the common bile duct, and to facilitate passage of retrieval instruments or drains during open or minimally invasive biliary surgery. The 8 mm final diameter provides a defined target lumen size when moderate dilation is required.
