Clinical Application

This heavy tissue forceps is intended to provide a secure, positive grip on dense tissues where slippage must be minimized. The 2x3 tooth tip delivers concentrated point contact for controlled handling of fascia, tendon, muscle and other thick connective tissues during open general, orthopedic, obstetrics/gynecology and head & neck procedures. It is commonly used for wound retraction, tissue manipulation during dissection and when applying traction to deep or mobile tissue planes.

Design & Configuration

The 2x3 tooth configuration interlocks to produce a firm purchase with minimal crushing area, allowing the surgeon to maintain control of heavy tissue without repeated repositioning. The thumb-type forceps format provides intuitive tactile feedback for fine positional adjustments while maintaining a strong hold. The 18 cm length balances reach for most open surgical fields with control and ergonomics at the hand.
